The Joint Service Drill Exhibition is one of the Cherry Blossom Festival’s most popular events.

The fact that these two midshipman haven't yet graduated from the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy didn't stop them from trying their hand at entrepreneurship. Based on his Sea Year experience, Midshipman William Walls, 1/c USNR, and CEO of EvoOceanic, Inc. developed an new eco-friendly, patent-pending methodology to more quickly and efficiently transfer used oil in port for recycling. He teamed with Midshipman Bryan Boyle, 1/c USNR and COO of EvoOceanic to form the company and the two have been in high level discussions with energy and shipping companies interested in their innovative solutions.
